Nonprofit that creates a safe space for women in leadership and ministry.

    Lauren Tee Richmond, a native of Philadelphia, PA, serves as the Chief Visionary Officer and Founder of Fresh Genesis. Growing up, she was always surrounded by family, and those considered to be a “strong village”.  In spite of her having a loving family and strong support system, she spent her early adult years attempting to figure out life on her own.  She spent years making poor decisions in many areas of  her life.  These decisions ultimately produced a ripple effect financially, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Thankfully, Lauren did not remain where she was and found the strength, with the help of God and her village, to begin her journey to heal and become whole.  It was through these trying times, and overcoming in many areas, that Lauren saw that there was a need to provide other women with that same strong village to help them in their journey to becoming whole. On August 22, 2015, Fresh Genesis was birthed. In 2024, this nonprofit shifted its focus to become the village for women in leadership/ministry.

    Lauren is a proud wife and mother. She loves God, and has always had a heart for those who were hurting, and those who can't help themselves. Although she earned a B.S in Legal Studies and a Minor in accounting from Wesley College in Dover, DE, she decided to find employment as an Income Maintenance Caseworker with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and as a Brand Ambassador  a leading Health and Wellness company. Lauren loves to sing with her church's praise team, and also in choirs and groups in Philadelphia. 

   Fresh Genesis is a Christ- centered nonprofit organization who will empower and assist women in leadership/ ministry regardless of age, race or religious background to become whole in 4 core areas:  

Spiritual: 

This is the foundation to becoming whole.  Here is where we find our identity. Unless we are connected to the one who created us, we will never discover His purpose for our lives, nor understand how to bring into fulfillment. Here is where the ability to have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faith, and self-control is instituted.

Physical:

While there are many women who have challenges that may limit their physical abilities, it is important for us to take care of the bodies we have been given. Our bodies are the vehicles we use to fulfill our life's purpose, and it must be fueled properly. 

Mental and Emotional:

It is important to master our thoughts and emotions. How we think guides how we feel. How we feel determines our actions. 

Financial: 

Financial stress destroys so many relationships including the one we have with ourselves. Proper financial management creates stability, and an opportunity to become a blessing to others.

We  believe that these are areas where women struggle the most and are ones that have been perpetuated by dysfunctional relationships,  feelings of unworthiness, worry, and fear. It is our belief, which is rooted in biblical principles, that God wants us to prosper and be in good health as our soul prospers.

          Fresh Genesis will cultivate sisterhood by becoming a networking agent that will connect  women who feel stuck in any of the core areas with experts who can assist them in becoming whole and provide them with steps in maintaining their wholeness. Fresh Genesis will create a safe place for women to voice their need for the tools and strategies to succeed in one or various areas of their lives without them feeling judged. It is our hope that as each participant  advances in her stage of wholeness, she becomes able to help others along their journey through becoming a resource of wisdom and experience. This organization is the strong friend for the strong friend.
